Rubbing Plates are sets of textured plates that can be used to transfer designs to your fabric. The photos below show rubbings made from each of the sets of plates. (The plates are shiny plastic, and very difficult to photograph.) Be sure to try making rubbings from both sides of the plates. Sometimes, the back is more interesting than the front.  Imagine these designs on the bottom of a skirt, or curtains, or on quilt squares, a vest, table runners, place mats - wherever your imagination takes you!

Warning: Do not dry clean fabrics embellished with paintstiks. The dry cleaning solvents will break down the paints.
